Works by Helen Acklam, David Morgan-Davies and James Vassallo are presented in relation also to works from the USW Musuem collection painter Bryn Richards and photographer Ray Klimek, to form a conversation about the past and present, self and place. Ultimately beyond geography, the works form a metaphor for the wrapping of ourselves in time, revealing hidden histories that seep out, across time. Referring to the brutal industries which scarred and changed the hills of South Wales to contemporary journeys of reconnection; these narratives mark the landscape as inhabited, both emotionally and physically; from the inside, and out.
