Crossing the line

2016

It is not easy to walk in the UK without folllowing a path. Even off-grid with an OS map you invariably find yourself following a well worn trail. During a stay in rural Devon, I made frequent visits to a ‘wild meadow’; it ticked all the boxes. However a series of paths had been mapped out and cut into the meadow grasses, effectively signposting various routes. In a sense the path became the landscape?
