Photobook - joining the dots..
Following a move back to South Wales in 2019 David spent time exploring and re-connecting with the country and landscape he left as a child. On a walk around the post-industrial landscape of Blaenafon he took with him his 40-year-old SLR camera and some expired film. Using the same combination of camera and film he returned to the same location numerous times between 2021-23. Intriguingly, images from each subsequent walk shared the same aura as the first but were cast with their own distinct colourway.
With little or no post-production joining the dots.. explores and revels in David’s cinematic images: their layers of history, colours and imperfections.
